Reflection:

Some things in this assignment I think I did well were cutting up the interview and my interview questions. This whole interview was around 10 minutes long and I had a lot of good soundbites to use and make a good story for but I think I did a good job at taking out the most important soundbites and putting them in the right spot. I also think the questions I asked during the interview were very effective at promoting my subject. I also phrased the questions in a way which would make the interviewee’s responses seem more conversational and made the response seem more like a monologue. If I were to change anything, I would collect better nat-sound and have a wider variety of photos. My nat-sound was limited to the sound of waves crashing, which works, but I think I could’ve done with more than just sounds of the waves. On the photography side, I did not have a chance to get a headshot or tell a broader story with the photos.
