Graphic Design Reflection

This assignment was not the most challenging for me because I have gained experience with graphic design and typography, designing the yearbook pages in high school. However, I have only drafted page elements, not designed whole pages in InDesign. I am proficient with Adobe applications and could figure out how to use Id quickly. For these pages I used a fairly simple design, with more emphasis on clarity and did not want to go overboard with colors, fancy text, shapes, or blending images. I stuck with complementary colors for the shapes and text to give the reader a little bit more eye candy. I used three types of fonts, serif, sans serif, and serif italic bold for my three types of text. I was taught in previous graphic design classes, when designing a page, I should use three different fonts that complement each other. This would look like what I have, one unique sans serif font for the titles and serif italic bold with color for the header. I used the same font for the body as the header but just used a regular type instead of italic bold in order to retain more rhythm in my design.
