Reflection:
For this first series I went out in a gung-ho sort of way with the assignment in mind but mostly shooting to get a good shot. This method caused some difficulty later down the line when I reviewed the shot list and saw that I needed at least a few more images to make the cut. At the end of the day I was saved by shooting more than I needed. I knew I only needed 20 or so shots to pick and choose from and post the 11 later but during the shoot I think I captured around 150. Shooting in the early afternoon made finding the light very easy and shooting in shadows wasn’t too difficult because of that. Also, at this time of day you can capture nice shadows across your subject’s face or work to get that full exposure without shadows at any moment. Overall I think Series 1 went well but there was definitely room for improvement.
